OUR STORY

DWA Construction started in 1954 as a small, part-time company—originally called Anderson and Selley—with Darrell Anderson and his brother-in-law. Together they built around 12 homes a year until they were tasked to build a large grocery store in Smithfield, UT in 1964. Completed in 1965, this grocery store was the start of their commercial building business. They went on to build a medical plaza in Logan, UT, gymnasium and classroom additions in Richmond, UT and Cokeville, Wyoming, a hospital in Malad City, Idaho, and additional large projects over the years.

In 1974, partners Anderson and Selley parted ways, and Darrell continued the business as DWA Construction and brought on his sons as part owners. After many wonderful years, Darrell semi-retired in 1989 and turned the business over to his sons. Today, his grandson Wayne Anderson oversees the business as president and owner of DWA Construction.

DWA has continued to expanded its business operations throughout Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming, building schools, churches, banks, medical buildings, office complexes, airport hangers and towers, culinary water tanks, athletic fields, large custom homes, apartments and hotels, research and laboratory buildings, city buildings and offices, industrial buildings, and several large commercial buildings across each of the three states.

DWA Construction has built a reputation of respect and trust with business owners, school boards, church representatives, architects, subcontractors, engineers, and suppliers— —and has been awarded and recognized for quality work and service. With years of experience in design-built, fast track, low bid, and construction management, DWA offers any type of construction service for all projects and clients and looks forward to a continued legacy of quality, reliability, and excellence.
